ABOUT ME

Dr. Aklah received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Arkansas, USA in 2017 where he developed a dynamic overly named URUK to support constructing custom hardware accelerators on FPGAs at runtime.  While he was doing his Ph.D., Dr. Aklah had a one-year internship with Cadence Design Systems Inc. located in San Jose, California.  During his internship, he worked on system-level design and large hardware verification. 

 

Dr. Aklah re-joined the University of Thi-Qar as a faculty member in December 2017. His research interests are in embedded systems, System-on-Chip, Reconfigurable Computing, and Machine learning. 

 

He received his BS and MSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Basrah in 2002 and 2008 respectively. His master thesis was on speech recognition using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems.
